Drummer Mike Clark to Record Live Album

Three-night stand at NYC's Iridium will feature Clark's Indigo Blue Band

Drummer Mike Clark will record a live album at Iridium Jazz Club in New York City on July 29-31. Clark will be joined by his Indigo Blue band, featuring Wallace Roney (trumpet), Donald Harrison (alto sax), Christian McBride (bass), Rob Dixon (tenor sax) and Antonio Farao (piano).

The album, to be culled from recordings of the three-night-run, will feature a combination of standards and original compositions/arrangements by Dixon, Farao and others. It will be released via the Indianapolis-based Jazz label Owl Studios, with Lenny White producing. Title and release date are tbd.
