Donald Harrison Named Tulane Artist in Residence

New Orleans musician and educator will teach several classes

Donald Harrison, the New Orleans saxophonist and composer, has been named artist in residence at that city’s Tulane University, reported The Times Picayune. Harrison, 53, who is also the Big Chief of the Congo Nation Afro-New Orleans Cultural Group, has previously served as an educator in New Orleans as director of the Tipitina’s intern program and director of the New Jazz School for the Isidore Newman School.
