Django Biopic to Open in Theaters in January

Film about the legendary guitarist stars Reda Kateb in title role

The iconic Django Reinhardt is portrayed in a new biopic, titled simply Django and starring Reda Kateb as the legendary Gypsy-jazz guitarist. The film, which takes place in 1943, was written and directed by Étienne Comar, and adapted from the book Folles de Django by Alexis Salatko. The score featuring Reinhardt’s music is by Warren Ellis, along with the Rosenberg Trio.

Django opens in New York on Friday, Jan. 5, and in Los Angeles on Friday, Jan. 19, and will be shown in other markets after that.
