Concord Records will reissue, on Sept. 6, the two albums recorded together by Frank Sinatra and Count Basie in the early 1960s. The single disc, 20-song collection, Frank Sinatra & Count Basie: The Complete Reprise Studio Recordings, includes brand new liner notes from music journalist and historian Bill Dahl. Also included are original anecdotes from Quincy Jones, who produced 1964’s It Might As Well Be Swing, one of the two albums included in the set. The other, simply titled Sinatra-Basie: An Historical Musical First, was originally released in 1963.
