Video: Kurt Elling on Collaborating with Arturo Sandoval

The singer/songwriter tells the story of how he and the Cuban trumpeter wrote "Bonita Cuba"

Singer Kurt Elling’s 2015 album Passion World features a ballad called “Bonita Cuba,” which was co-written with Cuban trumpeter Arturo Sandoval (who also plays on the track). In this video, Elling describes how a chance event—the two musicians being assigned rooms next to each other on the Jazz Cruise—led to this collaboration.
