Singer Kurt Elling’s 2015 album Passion World features a ballad called “Bonita Cuba,” which was co-written with Cuban trumpeter Arturo Sandoval (who also plays on the track). In this video, Elling describes how a chance event—the two musicians being assigned rooms next to each other on the Jazz Cruise—led to this collaboration.
