JazzTimes is honored to premiere the video for “Where Is Your Wealth?” by Cowboys & Frenchmen, the New York-based quintet led by saxophonists Owen Broder and Ethan Helm. The track, which is set to be released as a single on January 29, is also part of the group’s upcoming third album, Our Highway, which will be released digitally in both audio and video versions on February 26.

In addition to Broder and Helm on alto saxophones, the band features pianist Addison Frei, bassist Ethan O’Reilly, and drummer Matt Honor. The track, like all of Our Highway, was composed by Helm and produced by Ryan Truesdell. (Elsewhere on the album, Broder and Helm also play other instruments—baritone saxophone for the former, flute for the latter.)

The audio and video performance footage in Our Highway comes from a live show that Cowboys & Frenchmen played at New York’s SubCulture in September 2019. The video version of the album interweaves the footage from that concert with scenes from the band’s most recent cross-country tour, capturing the hectic pace of big cities, the tranquility of nature, and the unexpected surprises and aggravations that can arise while hustling from nightclub to nightclub.

In partnership with Live from Our Living Rooms, Cowboys & Frenchmen will present the world premiere of Our Highway as a live stream on February 26 at 7 p.m. ET. Purchasing a ticket to this premiere will give you access to the video album through March 5. For more information, go here.
