Pianist and group deliver classically inspired work
On her new release, Everblue (available Aug. 21), pianist Yelena Eckemoff and her group deliver music reflective of her classical background combined with jazz. Eckemoff teams up with an ensemble cast that includes Norwegian bass icon Arild Andersen, with whom she has recorded before, and with two other Norwegians, saxophonist Tore Brunborg and drummer Jon Christensen.
