William Tatge

William Tatge is a pianist and composer. He is American but was born and grew up in Italy, After having gained recognition both as a sideman and as leader of his own groups on the Italian scene, he has recently moved to New York City to explore new possibilities. He studied classical piano and classical composition at the Conservatory of Florence, and studied jazz with Stefano Bollani, Enrico Pieranunzi, Franco D’Andrea and Stefano Battaglia among others.

Before leaving Italy he recorded “Mutable Enclosures”, his first album as a leader for the label Reflexio.

During the last year he has been performing in clubs in NYC and has held concerts in prestigious venues such as Wesleyan University, Circulo de la Amistad in Cordoba Spain, Oratorio Santa Cecilia in Perugia Italy.
