Stacie McGregor

Canadian jazz composer/pianist Stacie McGregor began studying piano at the age of six and as a twelve year old, received early recognition as a accomplished composer when she was awarded third place in “The Yamaha National Song Writing Contest”. A consistently expressive player she received a Juno award in 1999 for her performance on the “Best World Music” recording (Omnisource by Madagascar Slim).

Her debut CD “Straight Up” received international recognition charting in more than 20 countries. The song titled “Top Cat” from the same recording was selected as a finalist in the Jazz Category of the 2004 USA Songwriting Competition.
