Royce, originally from Pasadena California, has been a rich part of the Arizona Jazz and Blues scene for many years. At the age of 12, he heard the amazing Jimmy Smith and from that moment his life was forever changed. After years of playing piano, Royce decided that the organ would be his main instrument. Many years later, he was mentored and tutored by his idol, after Jimmy heard him perform one of his songs live. Royce has opened for Jimmy Smith, Tony Monaco, Jimmy McGriff and many others. Royce has also written and performed with the late Barry White.

Richard “Groove” Holmes, Koko Taylor, Darlene Love, Papa and Joey de Francesco as well as many others have had the pleasure of performing with Tim Robinson.
