Oleg Frish

Oleg Frish is TV and radio personality, journalist, entertainer, historian of classic hit American music and owner of Time Out Media – Oleg’s production company. Born in the USSR into a family of musicians, Oleg migrated to America – basically following his love of classic hit American music. Oleg is somewhat of a media journeyman and his Russian speaking TV audiences, say, he is Russia’s answer to TV interviewers (to America’s) Mike Douglas, Merv Griffin and a bit of Regis Philbin.

Oleg has just celebrated living here in New York for the last almost 25 years. The lure of living in New York – is a dream many have but maybe half accomplish. Oleg Frish lives the “accomplished dream” and if one dream can lead to another, “Oleg Frish: Duets With My American Idols” is the zenith of all dreams come true.

The album captures hit artists of eras commercial radio rarely plays anymore. Is it one last hit hurrah – no way and when you hear songs like “You’re Nobody Till Somebody Loves You” or “Sunny”, the join-in chorus gets to you – you’re hooked. Oleg’s whole album is composed of classic American hit songs – 10 duets and a few solo performances as well.

Each performance, each track preserves the fun, a specific era, the popularity and the hit integrity of the artist and the song alike.

Oleg Frish’ knowledge about hit American songs is fathomless and his album attests to it. For Oleg, it is a mission to maintain the history of hit songs – American hit songs – and the artists who made them famous. Artists like Gary U.S. Bonds, Lou Christie, Lainie Kazan, Ben E. King, Melissa Manchester, Peggy March, Chris Montez, Tony Orlando, Bobby Rydell and B. J. Thomas join Oleg song-for-song.
