Marco Di Meco

Marco Di Meco is one of the new musicians appeared in the european jazz scene. Born in Chieti, Italy (February 5th , 1982) he is a flutist and jazz composer. He has released three albums,in this last years, like Rosalinda or 5 Colori, in which is clear the influence in his music by other musical genres like italian traditional music (folk), the contemporary classical music and of course funk, bossanova and swing til the reagge.

Another aspect, about his music, is the massive use of effects on the sounds, especially in works such as the piece Five Colors, a piece of music atonal and avant-garde free jazz lasting 22 minutes. Or in Lucilla song which puts him close to fusion sounds while the phrasing and the compositions are written in a very classical Jazz.
