Juan Antonio Simarro

Spain’s, composer, musician, producer Juan Antonio Simarro is currently focusing his career on the promotion and worldwide performances of his most recent musical work from his self-titled CD. The artist, which has enjoyed a remarkable career as a successful composer, musician and music producer for film, theatre and television has focused his current creative work on his deepest calling, classical and symphonic music. Among his compositions the symphony “Cádiz”, “Adagio para violín, piano y orquesta de cuerda”, “Noche en el Café Montarto” and the “Cuarteto de Cuerda No 1”, have been performed by world recognized musicians and orchestras, such as: The City of Prague Symphonic Orchestra, RTVE Symphonic Orchestra, The Byelorussian Radio Television Symphonic Orchestra, The Nueva Esparta Estate Symphonic Orchestra, and the Lisbon Philharmonic Orchestra.

Simarro’s music has received high praises by well-known musicians and conductors, including recognized Maestro Navarro Lara, who said “I believe Simarro is the most interesting composer to appear within recent years. We could very well be discussing the first true genius of the 21st century in our country.” David Rodríguez Cerdán, Journalist, Writer and Film Critic, writes: “Juan Antonio Simarro is the buzz that Spanish contemporary classical music needed to endear itself to a wider audience. Whether he is playing the piano with his sleeves rolled up, or mastering a riff on his ukulele, he manages to persuade us, that another, classical music is possible, but also and perhaps more importantly, that there is an audience for it.”

Simarro has composed and produced countless themes for Spanish TV. His lovable music can be heard in many popular commercials in Spain and Europe. His work as musical creator for the popular theatrical production “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” has been highly praised. In film, his work includes collaborations in the original soundtrack and musical production of “Diamantes Negros” (“Black Diamonds”) among many others. As a live and studio recording artist he has an extensive resume having played keyboards and piano for international artists such as Julio Iglesias and countless other artists.

He has toured extensively including performing in many parts of Europe, the Slavic Countries, throughout Spain, Portugal, and Austria as well as Latin America, Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina and in 2014 he performed in New York City and Los Angeles.
