Joe Rosenberg

Soprano saxophonist, and composer Joe Rosenberg studied with the legendary Joe Viola, Buddy Collette and clarinetist John Carter and is a 1995 recipient of the Jazz Performance Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Although Joe’s rich full sound is the first thing one notices, it’s his distinctive approach to soloing fueled by a passion for the adventurous that holds your attention. His writing encourages unanimity on the move, providing a diverse landscape that transports the listener. Joe has performed with international artists such as Dewey Redman, Gary Foster, Buddy Collette, Junko Inishi, Mark Helias, Tom Rainey, Edward Perraud, and Taylor Ho Bynum.
