A native of Cape Cod and graduate of Amherst, Geoff Vidal is a highly in-demand saxophonist & woodwind player and has made a name for himself thanks to his easy-going demeanor and extraordinary musical talents. In 2003, Vidal attended Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead at the Kennedy Center before moving to New Orleans, LA. In 2006 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Vidal moved to New York and quickly entrenched himself around some of the most talented and forward-thinking musicians in the city. Currently residing in Brooklyn, he performs and teaches throughout the New York metro area with his groups (GV3 and GV5) in addition to being an integral member of several bands. In 2010, Vidal released his debut album She Likes That and was recently awarded first-place at the 2012 Detroit Jazz Festival’s Saxophone Competition.
