Frank Marino

Born in Yonkers NY, Frank Marino is an accomplished bassist of vast diversity. Although highly proficient in all styles of music, his main genre of performance is Jazz.

Being an active bassist in the NY, LA, Nashville, DC scene has led to performances and recordings with Houston Person, Wycliffe Gordan, Clayton Cameron, Harry Allen, Kirk Whalum, Rickey Woodard, Alvin Atkinson, pop music icon Felix Cavaliere and many others. He has performed in concert halls, Jazz clubs and festivals throughout the USA and beyond.

Frank currently performs with and is musical director for Jazz recording artist Diane Marino. He is also an active member of the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra.

As founder of M&M Records and The Piano Den recording Studio, he has produced, recorded and played on Jazz pianist/vocalist Diane Marino’s CD’s. Diane’s highly acclaimed CD’s have brought her international recognition.

Frank’s education includes formal studies with Richard Davis, Lyn Christie, Ron McClure, Jack Messing, Bill Blossom, Arnold Schnitzer, and Irwin Stahl. Frank earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music/Jazz Performance graduating Magna Cum Laude from Mercy College/Westchester Conservatory.

Upon graduation, Frank immediately became a faculty member of Westchester Conservatory of Music teaching Jazz bass.
