Terence Blanchard to Perform at Monterey Museum of Art

World-renowned trumpeter Terence Blanchard will serve as the guest performer at a special concert taking place at the Monterey Museum of Art on June 26 at 8 p.m. Joining Blanchard, who is the museum’s Artist-in-Residence, will be Bruce Forman (guitar), Vince Lateano (drums), Paul Contos (saxophone) and Scott Steed (bass).

The show, presented both by the museum and the Monterey Jazz Festival, celebrates the festival’s 50th anniversary this year and complements the museum’s “Henri Matisse: Jazz” exhibition of important and rarely seen prints. Proceeds from the event will benefit the museum’s Jazz Education Programs.

The museum is located at 559 Pacific Street in Monterey, Calif.

Tickets include a cocktail and hors d’oeuvre reception and private exhibit viewing, and cost $100. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit montereyart.org or contact the museum at (831) 372-5477 x20.
