Sepia-Tone, a new label by the folks who run Midheaven.com mail order and Revolver distribution, plans to release archival 15 titles in the first half of 2002, licensed from the Warner-Elektra-Atlantic conglomerate. According to the Midheaven.com Web site:
“Exact dates are still being finalized, but Revolver expects the initial four titles to include Ornette Coleman’s late ’70s masterpiece This Is Our Music and three previously out-of-print trippers by Alice Coltrane (Transfiguration, Eternity and Transcendence). Darrel Banks’ soul sugarcube Darrel Banks Is Here will follow, and then we have a pair of never-before-on-CD reissues by the hallowed Incredible String Band (1973’s Liquid Acrobat As Regards Air and Incredible String Band from 1970) to look forward to. The rest of the topsoil includes blues platters by Tony Joe White (The Train I’m On and Tony Joe White), the legendary Josh White (The House I Live In, Empty Bed Blues and At Midnight) and Don Covay & J. Lemon Blues (House of Blues Lights).”
