Seattle-based non-profit Earshot Jazz will present its annual festival October 17 through November 7. The roster of performers features both seasoned jazzers and fresh talent in schools of jazz ranging from the very-in to the way-out, including the Jim Hall Trio, Hermeto Pascoal Group, Randy Weston’s African Rhythms Trio, Rokia Traore, Sex Mob, Gonzalo Rubalcaba Trio, Don Byron (pictured) with Jason Moran & Billy Hart, Peter Brotzmann, Nicholas Payton & Sonic Trance, Vijay Iyer, ICP from Amsterdam, and T. S. Monk. In addition to concerts, the festival will feature discussions and a film series presented in cooperation with the Northwest Film Forum.
The performances will take place at a variety of area venues including Tula’s, Town Hall, On the Boards, Triple Door, and Consolidated Works.
