Roomful of Blues: There Goes the Neighborhood

Still swinging and rocking after all these years, Roomful Of Blues is back with those good ol’ reliable grooves on There Goes the Neighborhood (Bullseye Blues 11661-9609-2; 44:57). New singer McKinley Odum has been added to this horn band’s soulful formula. Guitarist Chris Vachon kicks in two originals in the rockin’ “Just Like Dynamite” and the Texas shuffle “Blue Blue World.” Elsewhere, Roomful does its typically authentic job on covers by Percy Mayfield, Don Robey, Memphis Slim and Duke Ellington.
