Pure Audiophile to Release Karrin Allyson

For those of you who believe that good music should never be split into bits, a new hope has arrived. Pure Audiophile, based in Kansas City, has announced its intention to provide top-quality LPs that will meet the needs of the discriminating collector who finds digital technology too lifeless and sterile to truly reproduce music.

Owner Dennis Cassidy is extremely excited about the talents of Stan Ricker, who will master the LPs using a specially developed half-speed process. “The sentiment that he is the best thing in mastering since magnetic tape underrates his talents,” says Cassidy.

Pure Audiophile’s first release will be Karrin Allyson’s new record, Ballads: Remembering John Coltrane, which is available on CD from Concord. Ballads continues a string of critical successes for Allyson. “This is one of those special talents that only comes around a few times in your life,” raves Cassidy.

Ballads: Remembering John Coltrane will be released as a Pure Audiophile LP in early November.
