Concord Records seems to have a rising star on their hands with pianist-singer Peter Cincotti. The man is a Connick Jr. of sorts, a 19-year-old wunderkind with a pleasant smile and plenty of product in his hair.
You know you’re doing quite well when Chevy Chase makes room in his busy schedule to attend a launch party for your record, as the comedian did recently for Peter Cincotti, the singer’s debut. Also seen partying with Cincotti at parties in New York and L.A. were television producer Norman Lear and fellow jazz singer Joe Pesci. (No joke, cousin Vinny sings-Concord will release Pesci’s collab with Joey DeFrancesco this summer.)
Cincotti has attracted the admiration of the public as well. His album debuted on Billboard‘s traditional jazz chart at number two and peaked on the heatseekers chart at number seven (it currently sits at 14). This week Cincotti’s debut rests just outside the Billboard Top 200 in the 211 slot.
