Oscar Peterson/Benny Green: Oscar and Benny

Strikingly accordant in their musical conviction that 1950s-’60s mainstream jazz is the only stream worth coursing, mentor Peterson and his highly gifted admirer, the much younger Green, join bassist Ray Brown and drummer Gregory Hutchinson for an empathetic journey through 10 standards and one original, “Barbara’s Blues,” which the two pianists perform sans bass and drums.
