Ornette Coleman suffered heat stroke and collapsed during his performance at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival yesterday. According to a Billboard report, the 77-year-old sax icon and free-jazz innovator was rushed to a medical tent where he was given intravenous fluids. He was then moved to local Coffey County Hospital and was recovering there last night.

UPDATE for June 19: According to his publicity company, Mr. Coleman recovered and was released from Coffey Hospital on Sunday night.
