Singer-pianist Norah Jones’ new album, Feels Like Home, has already been certified quadruple platinum-meaning it’s sold four million copies-but you can never have enough bread in the bank, so Jones and her Handsome Band will kick off a 49-city U.S. tour on August 12 in support of the new disc. Tour dates follow.
Feels Like Home is the follow-up to Jones’ 2002 debut, Come Away With Me, which has sold into the kajillions and won eight Grammy Awards.
Jones’ Handsome Band is comprised of bassist Lee Alexander, drummer Andrew
Borger, guitarists Adam Levy and Robbie McIntosh and backing vocalist Daru Oda. Presently, the group is in the middle of a 41-date European tour.
In other Norah news, the singer performed for puppets on an episode of Sesame Street that premiered May 7 and will air throughout the show’s current season. Jones also performed at the Quincy Jones-organized “We Are The Future” benefit concert on May 16 in Rome. That performance will air on MTV on May 28. She’s also a confirmed performer for two upcoming tribute concerts for late country-rocker Gram Parsons to be held July 9 in Santa Barbara and July 10 in L.A.
