Norah Jones will add another DVD to her discography on November 16, when Blue Note releases Norah Jones and the Handsome Band: Live in 2004. The DVD was filmed on August 8 and 9 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and includes concert performances featuring songs from her albums Feels Like Home and Come Away with Me. Special guests include Dolly Parton on “Creepin’ In,” Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, who both toured with Jones last year, former band mate Kevin Breit, and Richard Julian, a former touring mate of Jones’ and co-writer of two songs on Feels Like Home. The DVD also naturally features Jones and her Handsome Band: bassist Lee Alexander, drummer Andrew Border, guitarists Adam Levy and guitarist Robbie McIntosh, and backing vocalist Daru Oda.
Other songs on the DVD include “Come Away With Me,” “Don’t Know Why,” and “Sunrise,” as well as the Gram Parsons tune “She.” The DVD also includes several behind-the-scenes mini-documentaries and was directed by Hamish Hamilton, who has worked with Madonna and U2.
