Musicians Honor New Orleans’ Legends at Jazz at Lincoln Center

This year, Mardi Gras is coming to New York City-in jazz form, that is. Musicians from New Orleans will honor the region’s music on Jan. 11 and 12, just weeks before the bombastic festival, at NYC’s Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The Kings of the Crescent City concert, which will be hosted by New Orleans native and actor Wendell Pierce, will feature musicians such as Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews (pictured) and clarinetist and bandleader Victor Goines.
