Smooth jazz saxophonist-vocalist Mindi Abair (pictured) will join adult-pop vocalist Josh Groban as a special guest when Groban heads out July 18 on his Summer 2004 tour. Abair will open for Groban in 11 cities starting in St. Louis. Abair will debut the music from, Come As You Are, her forthcoming new CD, at these performances.
Come As You Are is the follow-up to Abair’s breakthrough 2003 release, It Just Happens That Way. The new CD features Abair singing lead on three tracks, and also shows off her evolving sound, which blends elements of jazz, R&B and pop music. Come As You Are will be released on September 14, 2004.
