Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts will kick off its summer season with the premiere of the 18th annual Midsummer Night Swing series June 20. The Jonathon Stout Orchestra will begin the series with music from the 1930s and 1940s. Every Tuesday through Thursday concertgoers can take dance lessons at 6:30 p.m. with live music beginning at 7:30 p.m. The five-week concert series will be held at Lincoln Center’s Josie Robertson Plaza. The series ends with the Harlem Renaissance Orchestra on July 22.

Beginning July 10, the Lincoln Center Festival will celebrate its 10th season. Throughout the summer, the festival will include two world premieres, three U.S. premieres and 10 New York premieres. Elliot Goldenthal’s first opera, Grendel, directed by Julie Taymor, is among the premiered events. The festival will span across eight venues at Lincoln Center and close July 30.
