Just in time for the holidays arrives the inaugural season of Legends of Jazz, the highly acclaimed prime-time television series on PBS hosted by Grammy Award-winning composer-pianist Ramsey Lewis.
Season One comes as a limited-edition boxed set including eight DVDs and CDs consisting of 12 episodes and 49 live performances, as well as a 224-page coffee-table book of onstage and behind-the-scenes photos. As if that weren’t enough, each episode is produced-by Chicago-based entertainment company LRSmedia-in HD featuring 5.1 Surround Sound, making each performance and interview seem like it’s happening in your living room. Topics include “The Golden Horns” (with Chris Botti, Roy Hargrove and Clark Terry), “Latin Jazz” (with Eddie Palmieri and Dave Valentin) and “The Altos” (with Phil Woods and David Sanborn).
The Legends of Jazz Boxed Set will be available on Nov. 14 at a suggested retail price of $199.95. For further information, please visit www.legendsofjazz.net.
