A large group of jazz luminaries that includes Hank Jones, Roy Haynes and Brad Mehldau (pictured) will converge on Manhattan’s St. Peter’s Church this Sunday, September 19 for a concert to benefit Jimmy Lovelace, a drummer for guitar giants like Wes Montgomery and George Benson.
In addition to those listed above, artists scheduled to perform include George Coleman, Hank Jones, Roy Haynes, Lou Donaldson, Brad Mehldau, Charles Davis, Barry Harris, John Hicks, Louis Hayes, Chris Anderson, Lonnie Smith, Jimmy Cobb, Harold Mabern, Charlie Persip, Bob Cranshaw, Earl May, Reggie Workman and Ben Riley, among many others.
