Jazz Perspectives the jazz journal founded by historian and author Lewis Porter, is accepting papers for its first issue, to be published in January 2007. Jazz Perspectives is the first peer-reviewed journal dedicated to jazz scholarship and will be published biannually with articles on aspects of jazz including music, history and culture.
Porter and fellow historian and editor John Howland, both of Rutgers University, will serve as the journal’s editors while an editorial board of 23 jazz aficionados will blindly select articles for publication.
The deadline for paper entries for Jazz Perspectives‘ inaugural edition is April 1 and more information on paper requirements and the journal itself is available online at the Taylor & Francis Group website.
