Jazz Foundation of America’s Online Auction Ends Today

The Jazz Foundation of America has raised more than $325,000 in its first series of silent and live auctions, with bidding to end tomorrow. An auction benefit was held on Nov. 16 at B.B. King’s Bar and Grill and an additional online auction at, with items such as a VIP weekend at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cyndi Lauper’s stage worn costume and Buddy Rich’s owned and performance-used drumsticks, up for bidding through today.

The Jazz Foundation of America has been providing shelter, employment, instruments and healthcare for elderly and sick jazz and blues musicians for 16 years. Since Hurricane Katrina, they have extended their aid to all musicians displaced by the storm.
