Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra Performs Classic Blue Note Songs

Wynton Marsalis will team with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra to perform arrangements culled from the legendary big-band arrangements of Blue Note records. Appropriately, the concert celebration has been titled “The Legends of Blue Note.”

On April 26, 27 and 28, Marsalis and company take over the Rose Theater at Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City with their interpretations of songs from Herbie Hancock’s Maiden Voyage, Lee Morgan’s Cornbread, Horace Silver’s Songs for My Father and many other famed Blue Note albums.

Since the beginning of their collaborative works in 1988, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis has toured the world together. Marsalis, a gifted jazz trumpeter, serves as Music Director for Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Ticket information and other details are available at the Jazz at Lincoln Center website.
