Jazz at Lincoln Center Appoints New Executive Director

Jazz at Lincoln Center ([email protected]) in New York City, the world’s largest nonprofit organization supporting jazz, announced Aug. 1 that Bruce MacCombie (pictured left) will become the organization’s new executive director. MacCombie’s experience will come in handy as the [email protected] prepares its new home, Frederick P. Rose Hall, which is slated to open fall 2004.

MacCombie’s professional achievements include being dean at The Juilliard School and at the School for the Arts at Boston, teaching at Yale University and composing award-winning compositions commissioned by a variety of orchestras.
