Jamie Cullum, the young British jazz/pop sensation, will release his first DVD, Live at Blenheim Palace, on Nov. 16 on Verve. The DVD will include Cullum’s 90-minute concert performance in front of 10,000 people at Blenheim, and will also come with bonus features including music videos and documentary features.
While most of the live songs on the DVD are from Cullum’s major-label debut album twentysomething, which includes original compositions and interpretations of everything from “I Get a Kick Out of You” to “What a Difference a Day Made” to Radiohead’s “High and Dry,” the DVD also features some rare songs and performances. Footage includes Cullum’s performance of “High and Dry” at Glastonbury, video of Cullum busking on the streets of San Francisco and a previously unseen performance of his UK rarity “I Want to Be a Popstar” from The Southbank TV show.
The following Tuesday, on Nov. 23, a new dual-disc version of twentysomething will be released, which uses the two-sided format to present both an audio and video tracks. The video DVD will include album-based artwork, a photo gallery, biography, album credits, videos and a trailer for the Live at Blenheim Palace DVD.
