Jamie, Jamie, Jamie. Well, it doesn’t have quite the same flair as “Marsha, Marsha, Marsha,” but regardless, we’ve got some fun Jamie news. British pop chef extraordinaire Jamie Oliver and British jazz/pop singer Jamie Cullum (pictured) have planned a charity evening together, to be held Dec. 6 at the HAC in London.
Titled “Jamie’s Big Night with Jamie Cullum,” the evening aims to create the feeling of a night at a friend’s house “with comfy sofas, cool lighting, great food and loads of music,” according to Oliver’s diary entry on his website.
Confirmed activities for the event include a reception, dinner, raffle, DJ sets and a live set from Cullum, which will take place in the midst of a European tour to promote his new album, Catching Tales.
Tickets are being sold in tables of ten at 5,000 pounds per table – watch that exchange rate for all you folks in the States. Profits from ticket sales will be split between two charities: 75 percent will go towards Fifteen Foundation and 25 percent to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. More information on the night can be found on Jamie Oliver’s website, and more information on the charities can be found at www.fifteenrestaurant.com and www.gosh.org.
