As 25 years of his professional musicianship approaches, a concert series, Wynton with Strings, will celebrate the work of Wynton Marsalis. Performances November 17, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City will feature the Wynton Marsalis Quartet and a string orchestra with Robert Sadin as conductor.
The Wynton Marsalis Quartet will perform an anthology of Marsalis’ music over the past 25 years and debut new arrangements from his 1998 release “The Midnight Blues” and 1984 album “Hot House Flowers.” Robert Sadin will conduct the quartet and the accompanying string orchestra.
Tickets for the concert series are $30, $50, $75, $100 and $130 and are available at JALC’s box office or via www.jalc.org.
