I Read the Articles…and Listen to the Music

There’s no word as to whether or not minors will be able to buy the CDs, but Playboy Enterprises International has engaged in a partnership with Concord Records to form a new label, Playboy Jazz. The label’s first release will be the soundtrack to the May CBS mini-series, Blonde, based on the life on Marilyn Monroe. The CD will be released on May 8 and will feature Kenny Burrell, Ray Brown, Roy Hargrove, Snooky Young, James Moody, Scott Hamilton, and Dennis Rowland. Playboy has sponsored the Playboy Jazz Festival for 23 years, but has never been involved with a record label until now.
