As Jazz Promo Services reports, acclaimed Latin jazz artist Hilton Ruiz “remains in a coma with his family by his side.” The pianist, who turned 54 this past Monday, was found along New Orleans’ Bourbon Street with massive head injuries on May 19.
A recovery fund has been set up to assist the Ruiz family with medical expenses. Please mail checks made out to Joel Chriss & Co. and noted “Hilton Ruiz Recovery Fund” to the following address:
