Guitars & Saxes Tour Announced

Smooth jazz guitarists Marc Antoine and Jeff Golub (pictured) will join saxophonists Euge Groove and Warren Hill on the ninth annual Guitars & Saxes tour. Guitars & Saxes, a nationwide tour that is set to visit 21 cities, will feature both solo performances and collaborative efforts by the artists. Each show will begin and end with all four musicians playing together.

Groove, who will be the first musician to play a solo set at each show, has been playing alongside musicians like Tina Turner, Joe Cocker and Richard Marx for years. Since he began his solo career in 2000, Grove has released three albums-the most recent is Livin’ Large-and has two number one radio singles to his name.

Antoine, a flamenco-jazz guitarist who lives in Spain, has released six albums that showcase his trademark sound that incorporates jazz, flamenco, Latin, dance and Euro-pop. The title track from Antoine’s most recent release, Mediterraneo, is currently in the top 10 on the smooth jazz radio singles chart.

Hill, who first participated in the tour when it was conceived in 1995, was primarily a rock musician until he discovered the saxophone. Hill has released seven albums and contributed singles to numerous movie soundtracks, including Reality Bites and Body of Evidence.

Golub, who will perform the final solo set of each performance, formed his own band-Avenue Blue-in 1994 after spending several years backing musicians like Rod Stewart, Vanessa Williams and John Waite. Golub began recording solo in 1999 and has released a total of six albums.

Antoine, Golub, Grove and Hill will be backed by Dave Hooper on drums, Randy Jacobs on guitar, Ron Jenkins on bass and Ron Reinhardt on keyboards during the Guitars & Saxes tour.
