New York City’s Fazioli Salon has announced its spring 2007 season of jazz piano performances. The salon, known as “New York’s Piano Home,” is located in the Klavierhaus back room, on “Piano Row” at 211 West 58th Street between 7th Avenue and Broadway. Tickets to events are available at the ticket window (cash only), or online at http://www.pianoculture.com.
Highlights of this season include Afro-centric legend Randy Weston, Brooklyn native Steve Kuhn (who has recorded for Impulse, ECM and BYG), Telarc recording artist Geri Allen, Giuseppe Andoloro (Grand Prize winner of the 2002 London International Piano Competition), and Don Friedman, who recently completed a successful tour of Japan.
