To celebrate the upcoming 40th anniversary of ECM Records, the label will re-release 40 of the best recordings in its catalog.
Since its conception in 1969, ECM has released more than 1,000 recordings. The label has been home to jazz masters of the second half of the 20th century such as Keith Jarrett, Paul Bley, Jan Garbarek, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny and the Art Ensemble of Chicago.
The new releases will be soft-packaged disks with the original album art.
