Dennis Irwin Benefit Concert Coming to the Village Vanguard

Bassist Dennis Irwin, who is currently undertaking a medical battle, will be honored with a night of music at New York’s Village Vanguard on Feb. 18th. The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, with special guest soloists Joe Lovano and John Scofield, will perform. Show times are 8 PM, 10 PM and midnight. Sets one and two will feature Lovano and Scofield, with the band playing material from all periods of the band’s library. Set three will open it up for the band and many of Irwin’s friends to jam. The bar will be open as usual but admissions will be tax deductible and may be cash (receipts available) or check (made out to Sixteen as One Music Inc. memo Dennis Irwin) at the door.
