The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., will hold the 12th Annual Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Festival from May 10-12. The series of concerts features several ticketed events as well as free shows on the Millennium Stage.

On Friday, finalists will compete in the 2007 Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Piano Competition for a chance to play next year’s festival and jam with bassist Miriam Sullivan and drummer Lucianna Padmore Saturday night.

Hiromi, Stephanie Jordan and Ann Patterson’s Maiden Voyage will close out the festivities Saturday night. For a full schedule of performances, ticketing information and all other inquiries, check out the festival website.
