Concord Records is gearing up for its impending string of summer releases—this summer you can enjoy dozens of new albums from Concord artists, including a new compilation on the Concord-allied Playboy Smooth Jazz label that is sure to make the already-hot season even hotter.

Grammy-nominated singer Karrin Allyson (pictured) will release her new album, Wild For You, on June 8, 2004. The album is a collection of songs that Allyson “grew up with.” Wild For You breathes new life into tracks by Elton John, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, Cat Stevens, James Taylor and Carole King, among others.
September will bring singer-pianist Peter Cincotti’s currently untitled sophomore effort. Cincotti’s self-titled debut album topped Billboard‘s traditional jazz chart when it was released last year. Cincotti, who has been dubbed the next Harry Connick Jr., will appear in Spiderman 2 this summer and will make his acting debut in Kevin Spacey’s biopic about Bobby Darin, Beyond the Sea.
On August 31 Ray Charles’ much-anticipated Concord debut, Genius Loves Company, will hit stores. The album features a slew of star guest artists like Norah Jones, Elton John, Natalie Cole, Willie Nelson, James Taylor, Diana Krall, Bonnie Raitt, BB King, Johnny Mathis, Gladys Knight, Michael McDonald and Van Morrison. Grammy Award-winner Phil Ramone produced five of the album’s tracks.
