Charlie Haden to Play Blue Note in October

Charlie Haden & His Liberation Music Orchestra plan to perform music from their new release, Not In Our Name, from Oct. 4-9 at New York City’s Blue Note. Haden will be joined by a slew of musicians, including arranger, conductor and co-producer Carla Bley (piano), Chris Cheek and Tony Malaby (tenor saxophone), Miguel Zenon (alto saxophone, performing Tues. 9/4, Wed. 9/5 and Sun. 9/9), Myron Walden (alto saxophone, performing 9/6, 9/7 and 9/8), Michael Rodriguez and Seneca Black (trumpet), Curtis Fowlkes (trombone), Ahnee Sharon Freeman (French horn), Joe Daley (tuba), Steve Cardenas (guitar) and Matt Wilson (drums).
