Casio Underwrites Public TV Show

Casio, digital pianos and portable keyboards company, is continuing their support of music education by underwriting the weekly public television series, The Piano Guy, which is hosted by Scott Houston. Houston has been showing public television viewers how to the play piano like professionals in a matter of hours through his pledge specials, Play Piano In A Flash and The Piano Guy: Tips, Cheap Tricks & Secrets of the Pros, who’s success spawned The Piano Guy.

The Piano Guy is a 30-minute show that features mini-lessons highlighting Houston’s “cheap tricks” to make beginners sound like pros, and interviews with professional pianists, who break down the techniques they use to play a wide variety of musical genres, including blues, country, holiday tunes, rock, standards, show tunes, jazz and ballads.
