Carnegie Hall to Host Dianne Reeves Vocal Workshop

The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall will host the Dianne Reeves Workshop for Jazz Vocalists from Apr. 5-9, 2006.

The workshop, free of tuition and open to auditors, will focus on vocal technique and improvisation while participants will receive mentoring from the Grammy Award-winning Reeves.

Vocalists applying for this workshop must be between the ages of 18 and 25. The application requires a short biography, up to two letters of recommendation, an audio recording of one jazz standard and one original composition and a non-refundable application fee of $40. All applications must be received by Dec. 1.

Travel and shared housing will be arranged and paid for by Carnegie Hall for participants coming from outside New York City.
