Calle 54 Documents Latin Jazz

Calle 54, a new film by Fernado Trueba pays tribute to Latin jazz musicians such as Tito Puente, Gato Barbieri, Paquito D’Rivera and Elaine Elias. The film is a document of Latin jazz’s influence in North America and Europe. Slated for an April release in the U.S., the film assembles studio performances filmed at a New York studio with footage Trueba shot in Cuba, Sweden, Spain, Puerto Rico and the United States. Blue Note is releasing the soundtrack to the film.
